Undertow

Undertow is concerned with powerful natural phenomena and processes of transformation. The imagery explores the qualities, limitations and possibilities of a single material while the music is made from thickly layered superimpositions of recordings of one cello. The film explores the interrelationship between the man-made and the organic, contrasting that which is structured and ordered with processes that are beyond human control.

The film was shown at The Show RCA July 2008.
